How can I stop my dogs from fighting?

I have two dogs, a male Pomeranian x Mini Foxy & a female Siberian Husky. He is 2 yrs old and is deed. She is 5 months old and not deed. They're the best of friends but occasionally they'll fight. It scares me though because he's little and I'm afraid she might unintentionally hurt him or even worse, kill him. They'll be playing around like normal until one gets tired of it and when the other doesn't stop trouble starts. My parents are saying that it would probably be best to give him away because lately the fights are getting more violent and occurring more often. I can't force myself to give him away, he's my little boy and I love him with all my heart. Please help ! Any suggestions or tips ?
