Dog in bad situation. What to do?

I have a dilemma. My alcoholic grandmother who has bad dementia that comes and goes has a very small dog we’ll call “Fido”. She often forgets that she even has the dog and lives in the country where coyotes and big dogs roam freely. She often leaves Fido outside without water or food. While granted she acts like she loves her dog when anyone is visiting her, the truth is she hits and kicks the dog to discipline it. It only weighs 5 pounds full grown. I have a farm adjoining her property and see the little dog’s suffering everyday when I am at the farm to check on my animals. While I give water and food, I have several times found it in distress from lack of water and overheated. Over the years, she has had many animals and they all end up being killed by predators or just run away in search of food. So it is just a matter of time before this happens to “Fido”. I recently spent money to have this dog fixed and vaccinated for her at my own expense $$$$ -hoping it would improve its quality of life. However, now after witnessing her kicking at Fido and seeing that she is leaving it out in 100 + temps, I feel that perhaps I need to take the dog and just let her believe it ran away. After a few days (if not sooner) she will forget she ever had a dog. Trying to reason with her is impossible, she has a very violent tendency in her and I truly believe she doesn’t have the skills to care for herself let alone a defenseless animal. While the family members are aware of her situation with dementia and are keeping an eye on her, they are not animal lovers and will not see the reasoning behind taking the little dog from her. They will not think taking the dog from her is right. I am heart sick about this little dog. What do you think I should do? Should I take the dog and care for it without telling any of them , (they never visit me) or should I just turn a blind eye and continue to be heartsick for this dog and let her keep it without interference???

Question about .dmg files on Macs & downloading them?

Hello, i am wondering/looking for a way to download a .dmg file onto my Windows Vista computer, and mounting it there so i can convert the file into a .rar and USB it to my Mac. My Mac's .dmg system is bugged, it says it cannot mount anything, is there any way to avoid mounting .dmg files at all? Or do they indefinately have to be mounted. They are two seperate bugs. The one that is big and bloated has just been there longer than the smaller one. I dont know much about tick mating behavior, but I kind of doubt that's what is going on when you find two in the same spot. Or maybe it is----I dont know. I would think the smaller one has buried his head in a spot that he found to be easier to access since the other tick has already started the hole. When a tick is fully engorged, it will drop off on it's own but can not crawl away at that point because it's legs are too small to support the new body size. Am I screwed for life because of one bad mistake?

I use to live in Virginia. I did a stupid thing and was charged for petit larceny at my job. I went to court and did everything I was suppose to do and paid back the money and did my community service. Now I have since moved away fro Virginia and moved on with my life. I just lost my job because they do background checks every so often and a felony popped up on my record (by the way the charge was a felony at first but was dropped to a misdemeanor). I was truthful with this company up front and let them know I had a misdemeanor on my record. But when the felony popped up it seems as though I was lying. I called the court and they said a misdemeanor does show up on my record and that some companies take short cuts in using a "not so good" background check company. With this being said i am out of a job right now because of this. I planned to ask my gf to marry me on New Years and we just bought a new house. I feel haunted by this stupid mistake everyday and now it has haunted me again. Also there is no way to get expungement in Virginia if you pleaded guilty. Strange algae in my fresh water tank.?

i have a 55 gallon freshwater tank full peaceful fish as well a several fat catfish. it's been established for about 8 months. the water is very clear, we have about 12 plants and 2 moss . but the past month or two i have noticed strange algae, or at least i think it's algae. it gets EVERYWHERE. its fluffy and grayish-brown and attached to nothing. it sits on the floor or in between plant stems but if you swish the water around it is easily picks up and swirls around the tank. its gets really big and starts to take over the tank floor, it is very ugly and we've tried removing it manually [literally scrubbing the driftwood and leaves and shaking up the rocks on the floor], giving less light and lately switching out more water. we're out of ideas.. please help!

Gordon Brown the U.K. prime minister was not elected by a single person in the country. Labour was in charge because Tony Blair won the elections in 1997 I believe it was. Tony Blair stepped down in 2007 and Gordon came in (as is normal in British politics). Now granted he was admired and respected by most people at first, but at the moment, the guys approval ratings with the public is nothing short of distugsting and he wont agree to hold a new set of elections to select the Prime Minister even when all the by-elections show that his party is in the dumps. Obviously, it would be unwise of him to hold elections now cause he is most definitely going to lose by a mile but isn't that what Mugabe did (though in a rather horrific way). When it comes to it, which is better? Bleach and Naruto.?

Take into mind that both of the main character's are mostly static (characters who stay the same throughout the story). Unlike most Anime's however, Bleach does have a decently gripping story and that's a fault with naruto, but only to some degree. Both have done an amazing job in displaying their fight scenes with great detail, but when it comes to shear battle prowess between the two heroes it's impossible to decide. Ichigo and Naruto are ever changing throughout the story (how powerfull they become not there character). So to have a clean fight is highly unlikely, while Ichigo needs a sword to fight Naruto doesn't, and theres the fact that Naruto has the Nine Tails inside him. These Anime are alike in some ways but different in many others, to pit them against as if they where the same is kinda dumb. Just keep your opinion to your self. They are both tremendous Anime. Enjoy them before the series ends.

You might even be on a too strong bp med. Lisporal (spelling) is a good mild one, and usually once per day.

White fridge door turned yellow!!?

I've recently moved into an apartment where the fridge is fairly old and the white finish is now patchy and a kind of a yellow/beige colour. I tried scrubbing it with a bleach spray to no avail, is there anything I can try that would restore the white finish or is it simply just down to the age of the fridge? That 18 month old should no longer be in the room with the infants! The toddler has far too much energy, and is capable of serious injury to an infant at this point. I would go speak with the director about your concerns. They may be hesitating to move the toddler only because the toddler room is full. Which is to say, they are overcrowded. If they do not make an attempt to rectify the situation, I would look into alternate daycare. My daughter has been at daycare for some time, and she has been bitten, but the day care has a policy about how many times a child can bite before they are kicked out. (Unfortunately, it is 3 times, but it really is a part of learning for children). I will not allow them to leave my 18 month old toddler in with the babies, because I am aware of how much bigger she is than those little ones. They know that they need to let me know if for some reason they are overcrowded on a certain day. Best of luck to you!

I have a lot of Hallmark ornaments that plug into empty bulb sockets on the old mini light christmas strands. Can these be plugged in to a LED christmas light strand? Most of the ornaments light up and have recordings. I have not purchased any LED lights yet because I have not found any that look like the warm white (even though they are labeled warm on the box) of the incandescent lights, so I'm not sure of the socket shape and weather they are compatible electrically.

Maybe you can add a tablespoon of peanut er to the apple and that will give you some healthy fat. Your meals should contain both protein and carbs. For breakfast you could drink some skim milk or eat some low fat cottage cheese for protein. You could add chicken to the rice and vegetables.

You can't increase the wireless range of your Wii, but there are some things you can try to prevent the signal falling short. Make sure there aren't any other devices around transmitting signals - phones, other consoles, etc, can interfere with the signal reducing it's range. Also make sure there are no solid objects between the Wii and your wireless router (or whatever it is you have), as there will block the signal somewhat.

any time you start to hear clicking noises as you turn this is the cv joints in your axles showing its age, the noise will actually get slowly worse over time, each time you turn right or left. Usually this is in a front engine front wheel drive car. By the time you start hearing the noise, there is already significant wear, this is entirely normal, under the hood there are two axles on long, on shorter, usually the longer one wears out first. One side may be worse than the other , but in the end you will need to replace both sides. A dealer will be more expensive, as they will use new cv axles. you can also buy a set already rebuilt, or one side or the other cheaper. Usually the rubber boot tears, and all the grease leaks out at some point. Its best to repair it before it breaks and does more expensive damage.

How do I remove the front panel of my Acer Aspire Z5610?

The optic touch screen on my Acer Aspire Z5610 is a little screwy, but I know the solution. Rather than sending my computer off on it's very flaky warranty back to Acer to wait four months before getting it back, I'd rather repair it myself. The front panel around the screen can be unclipped from the top, but the sides are so stubborn! They too are clipped in, but when I attempt to un-clip them from the sides, they just spring back and snap into position again. I don't want to break the front panel; so I'm wondering if I'm missing the correct removal process or something.

guppies and tiger barbs both do well with a little salt but I wouldn't but anymore than 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons. Also, you should try and get 3 more tiger barbs so they have a proper school. Help with HSG and IUI questions?

Everything has checked out good with me and my husband. Sperm is good, ovulation is good and no known problems. Both in our late 20's been TTC 16 months. Next step is to have a HSG test done. I dont want to if it is not neccesary. Is it possible to do the IUI and be successful with the HDG. They did do a ultrasound and did not see any bloackage.

Well the words.. "not as good as" stuck in my head. First of all.. if these are good people.. then they are "as good as" anyone else. Money is not an object of glory. Having too much of it or too little of it does not constitute a good person or a bad person, good family or a bad family. Its just a thing that everyone has place so much emphasis on. I used to be a worrier.. I worried about all kinds of stuff. I overcome my worry by letting the small stuff "roll off my back - so to speak". Try that.. try not to worry about tomorrow as we are really not promised a tomorrow and learn to live for today.

How to deal with this guy...?

Okay...soo I'v been with this guy for about 2 and 1/2 years. We were kind of off and on for the first year, and then we were steady for a while. The only problem we've always had is his trust/jealousy issues. I've tried talking to him about it, I've tried to be understanding, but we started having the same fight bc of his issues all the time and I got really tired of it. I can't take that anymore, so I broke up with him. Now, before when we would break up a lot, it was always him initiating it, and Iw as really hurt by it, but he changed and things were good except for the trust/jealousy. Anyway, he's really really upset about the break up and i don't know what to do. It's not that I don't love him, I love him so much, but I feel like for once, I need to put myself first instead of him, and I deserve to be happy. And it's not that he doesn't make me happy, it's just when it's good...it's so good, but when it's bad, it really sucks...and I feel like we're just going around in circles. I've talked to him a few times since breaking up with him, and he's taking it really hard. Like, crying. And this guy is like a football player, he's huge, and he's not one to show emotion like that. So obviously I feel really bad becuase I know he's heart broken. Well...I told him that I think it would be the best thing if we didn't talk for a while because if we keep talking to each other, we're (more so, he's) never going to get over it. He got laid off, so Iknow he's dwelling on me because he doesn't have anything to do during the day, he's not sleeping, he told me he thinks he's having anxiety attacks...and I just don't know how to handle the situation. Wisdom teeth!!! When can they be removed?

I was your age exactly when my wisdom teeth began to poke thru the gums and I went to an oral surgeon [I recommend this type of dentist] and he put me to sleep and voila, all 4 were pulled and after a few uncomfortable days [lots of mouth-rinsing with warm salty water & lots of soft squishy foods] it was done with. Yes wisdom teeth can be removed once they're identified as 'ready' by the x-ray views seen by the oral surgeon. He/she is the best source as to the 'when' part. Modern anaesthesia may not include putting you all the way out, but go with whatever is recommended for you. I wanted to be 'out' so that's another factor too. Get rid of those pesky wisdom teeth before they get overly up and out and cause you other more complicated dental problems. Lay in a supply of squishy goodies [smoothies & such] and let someone pamper you for a few days.

Dog sick or what might be happening?

Our beloved pomeranian has always been on a regular schedule. He eats breakfast and supper at the same time each day and has always went out to poop and pee on a regular schedule, always after he eats breakfast and then after he eats supper. Never messes in the house. 2 days ago he did not want to eat his supper but after coaxing he did. That evening he went out really late and pooped. Then about an hour later he went out and pooped again. We then went to bed to find shockingly the next morning that he had diaherra all over the floor. Cleaned it up, he ate breakfast but then did not poop again till last night hours after supper. Then again went out and pooped again late. This morning woke up to same thing of him having diaherra again all over the floor. Now this morning he does not want to eat breakfast. His other behavior is normal and seems like he sleeps the same as before and does not act sick. Have not changed his food or anything and is eating out of the same bag of food that he has had for the past month. Don't believe it is the food because of that. Did notice yesterday that all of a sudden he is licking, not eating some of the weeds? gr that is sprouting up in his yard. Could any of these be upsetting his stomach and if so, how do we safely get rid of them without harming him with chemicals? Your help is appreciated since he is so adorable and loving and sure don't want anything to happen to him. He will be 5 years old this year. Thank you for your help with this.
