Why do many professing Christians use the secular philisophical use of the word "Foreknowledge"?

Because people prefer doctrines that they personally like over and against the Doctrines of the Bible. Hence, the Pelagians ("we are not inherently sinful; we are inherently good!"). That includes all the offspring of the Pelagians, which includes the you-know-whos.
