Did it ever occur to you guys....
..that even though we call us non-racists, we could have a lot of the attributes, simply because we were raised at a time when racism still was pervasive in this country? What about our fears of blacks in groups?Could it be that this was simply ingrained in us and maybe also by bad experience? And what about this:Blacks hold a large portion of jazz and R&B--but do they get credit? And why are the bad guys in movies always black?Wake up people--Obama is right when he said that there is still a lot of unconscious racism going on and it should not be disregarded.Just because I feel that I am not racist, having been raised to fear blacks in groups unconsciously gives me racist behavior and the same happens to other people.I really do not understand why people want to deny this and make talk about race issues such a taboo, because talking about it is the only thing that will help in understanding and eliminating such issues?Obama has a right to call McCain a racist--look at what McCain who promised "no dirty" campaign did while Obama was overseas and what he's doing now--ain't that racist, to try to dismantle someone's dignity because of his popularity? I am convinced that McCain would openly attack Obama's race if he legally could do so....no hate mails please, be thoughtful on this issue because I am white.....
