How likely are people to lie on the internet?

Your story is very long.. but people on the internet have the best chance of lying. They can use a fake ID... they can use a fake name, a fake address.. not give their phone number. In fact you could be having an internet relationship with someone in prison.. if they are not serving a very severe crime they have access to further their education and allowed to use the internet... and they could be swindlers, confidence trixters..bigamists anything of the kind so I would never really become friends just on the internet.. one can be on friendly terms.. but in order to establish mutual trust and respect and honesty one has to get to know a person face to face and that over a period of time.. and if there is a connection, this can lead to a great friendship and on the internet one can make ''pals '' whom one likes to talk to .. but not genuine friends.. and one has to take what everyone says ''with a pinch of salt'' accept them and don't disbelieve them.. because they could be speaking the truth but one should not be too credible and too gullible..
